Riya Khosla is a 12th-grade student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, studying English, Economics, Spanish, Mathematics, and Biology as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Her keen interest in visual arts and design pushed her to launch Artyfact, a social initiative geared toward providing underserved students with creative tools and materials. Riya’s passion for this subject extends beyond practicing visual arts herself. Riya has been intrigued by the integration of the study of design and social sciences, which led her to research the role of design in business, economics, and sustainability. Her insights are available on medium in the form of weekly blog articles. Canvas of Hope is her brainchild, through which she hopes to encourage students from marginalized communities to express themselves through creative methods.
